Stress

Stress is a fairly common emotion that, like anger, can occur when something annoys you or makes you feel frustrated. It is best defined as a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation.

Stress affects us both physically and mentally. When stress is occasional and not too intense, it can actually be beneficial, alerting us to something that bothers or upsets us, prompting us to take action and resolve these situations, but when it becomes recurrent, it can cause problems such as headaches, lack of concentration, or sleep problems, which in long run begin to affect our lives in a rather significant way.

To manage this, there are certain strategies that have shown good results in reducing stress in people; some of these are:

Stress Relief Strategies

Identify your triggers

Working out what triggers stress for you can help you anticipate problems. And you can think of ways to solve them. Even if you can't avoid these situations, being prepared can help.

Organise your time

Organizing your time helps you feel more in control of your daily actions and more capable of handling pressure.

Accept the things you can't change

One of the main reasons we're stressed is worrying too much about things we can't actually control, so starting to let go of this and focusing on what's truly within your reach reduces stress.

It is important to maintain these strategies over time and make them a habit so that stress does not cause problems in our daily lives.

In addition to these strategies, I'm going to tell you about some activities I do that help me manage stress.

Activities to avoid feeling stressed

๐Ÿ“
Make a to-do list every night

Every night before going to sleep, make a to-do list for the next day, so you'll already know what you have to do in the morning.

Do some exercise

Do something that allows you to move your body to release all that negative energy; if you can do it outdoors, even better, but if not, doing yoga or Pilates also helps a lot.

๐Ÿงน
Organize parts of your room or house

One of the main reasons we can feel stressed is because our space feels disorganized, so taking some time to organize even just a part of your surroundings reduces the chances of getting stressed.

๐Ÿ˜Š
Take some time to go out and talk to friends.

Go out with friends and allow yourself to rest your mind from whatever is clouding it with bad energy.
